    Additional Dims for hidden compartmentGreat gift idea! Person whom received it loved it.Including dims of the inside, in case you have something specific you're wanting to place inside, other than money.Circular hole circumference= 1.5 inHidden compartment depth= just under 2.5 in 5Well I can do it in 10 seconds now.......The lock doesn t trigger. The first time I had one of these the ball was metal and the lock didn t flex. The bar in this one bends so it doesn t push the lock firmly enough. Find the metal one.Keeping it since it s a graduation gift and I m just going to add a life lesson on a card. Sometimes things don t work the way they re supposed to and you have to bash it with a hammer. UPDATE: I noticed an additional rattling sound when the bar and ball were held in place. Looked through the slot and I can see the locking mechanism rolling around inside 1Terrific Company!First this puzzle is amazing. It is challenging but not overwhelming! We are using it to place gift certificates in and we are anticipating a fun time at the holidays. But more important....this company is amazing. She was a bit confused initially but went about trying to solve the puzzle. Took her about 4-5 minutes but she didn't get frustrated at all, just pure concentration. She was thrilled when she pulled out a folded bill and over the moon when she unfolded it to discover it was a $100 bill. All will love it!. I bought as a gift but couldn't wait to try it myself... he he. It was a lot of fun and I am not a teenager! I bought the green for a girl 13 and the blue for a boy 10 years old. They both loved it! I also loved the box because it doesn't tell you what it is. It is made very well. I do highly recommend. I just thought of another game to play with it in a group . Even adults. With a timer. each person gets a certain amount of time than has to give it up to the next person! game could last for hours!! LOL Get one you will love it! 5Novel idea, but know your giftee! Might be more novel for adults than children.We purchased two of these, with the intent of being a recurring gifting idea: we planned on having something new inside for my niece (8 years old) and nephew (6 years old) each time they visit. Both have always enjoyed puzzles and games. My nephew being an avid player of anything LEGO - he can play LEGO Star Wars/Avengers/Batman all day if his parents would allow. And while my niece tires of console gaming a lot quicker, she's always in the mood to put together a puzzle or play a board or card game. We figured this would be right up their alley. Disappointingly it wasn't. Not even close. While they were exited to open them and went wow at first. After half-heartedly working with them for only five minutes (about two minute in the case of the 6 year old) they were ready to give up.Figuring that money was inside - the coin slot on the top must have been a dead giveaway - probably wasn't much encouragement either. As, in no time, they were handing them off to their older brother and sister (13 and 15 years old) to open for them. My 15 year old niece was actually the most interested in it. I think she wished we got her one, but from reviews we assumed it would be too easy for her age. She opened it in less than a minute. As it turned out, one of puzzle boxes actually shipped with the marble already right at the finish point! And my 8 year old niece still didn't have the patience to figure it out! At least I think it was hers she opened. We made her close it right back, in hopes that seeing her sister do it would be some encouragement - she wants to do everything her sister does. No dice. She still could care less about figuring it out. Maybe on a raining day, when the power is out and there's nothing on tv, they'll be more inclined. Sadly it wasn't a highlight of their visit. They seemed to regard it almost as a punishment.The box is made of fragile hard plastic, like a cd jewel case. So, it probably won't hold up very long in the hands of younger children used to just dropped their toys anywhere on the floor once their done with it. As others have noted, older kids, less interested in the puzzle than getting to whatever is inside, may be prone to just pry the cap off, thinking that's the more ingenious route to take.There are at least a couple different versions of puzzle box being sold on amazon. The puzzles themselves looked identical from what we could tell from customer pictures. We went with this one, because we liked the design of the brown box it came in better.A few things we would change:1) Make sure ALL puzzle boxes ship with the marble near the actual start, rather than the finish. I know it'll likely move around some in shipping, but what are the odds of it actually finding it's way all the way to the end like the one we received?2) Eliminate the utterly unnecessary coin slot. This would add an element of mystery regarding what's inside, which would be advantageous to all ages.3) Ship the puzzle box with the cap off, so the recipient doesn't have to actually complete the maze themselves in the event they want to put something other than money inside. This item would be great for putting vending machine size toys inside, LEGO minifigures, candy, etc. Most younger kids could care less about getting more paper or metal currency they'll just stick back in yet another slot in their own piggy bank, to save for when they're older. 3My little cousin is going to hate me but this is a great way to give ...My little cousin is going to hate me but this is a great way to give the teenager who only wants money a fun gift for Christmas. The inside is a little small... I'm not sure you could fit a gift card in there at all... I tried to squeeze a wad of singles in there (the other part of the joke) and I struggled a lot before managing to cram them in there and get it shut. But if you're just giving a couple bills that can be folded up small it would work perfectly. 5Bought two and both broke within a few weeks!This toy is such a great idea in theory! I had a student who LOVES mazes, so I bought this to give him to play with during his free choice time. Well....it broke after a week. He liked it so much, I bought him the same maze, but in a different color. After a few weeks it broke also. My student is responsible and gentle, so I do not feel it was his fault. I was disappointed in this product. 2If you cannot open latch...... make sure the ball is on the correct side of switch.. it will be like a wall and not slide over.. do puzzle again to get ball on other side! Whew! All in all - will be glad to give this frustration to someone else to open! And the review that said there was nothing inside once it opened? Duh!!! Stop being cheap and put a gift of money inside!! Have fun!!! Read folks - no gift card will fit... ha ha ha 5Lots of fun.This is a lot of fun. I have ordered this multiple times, even ordered one for our Dirty Santa game at the family Christmas. So much fun!What I did not like is that a gift card will not fit inside it, but $$ go in easily!That is a minor issue.The seller contacted me to see if I had received it and if I was happy with it.
