    PERFECT!!!First, I am in my mid-twenties with no children and I have 2 of these because they are just that wonderful. I have the 18" penguin and the smaller penguin just for kicks. Aside from the fact that these guys are absolutely adorable, they are so very soft and shaped perfectly (when they are folded up) to lay your head on in bed if you want to have a lazy night in to watch tv. Cute AND functional?! Yes. You can have both.I bought mine about a year ago and it's still very soft to this day. I know that these were a big hit with childrens sales during Christmas time last year, but plush toys are timeless items. I would HIGHLY highly recommend getting one! You don't need to spend 50 bucks on one of those crazy futuristic pillows at Brookstone... just get a Pillow Pet! 5snuggles with it & sucks on its beakWhen we first brought home our rescued pitbull she found a penguin pillow pet & claimed it as her own. One year later - still looks greatBeware - this may start a pillow pet craze in your house! We now have four total and more have been requested!If you haven't seen these before, this is a plush pillow that is about the size of a couch throw pillow. When laid out, the pillow is square with the penguin head sticking off one side. There is a velcro strap which when the pillow is folded in half keeps it that way. It's very cleverly designed with a cover to close over the hooks so that the velcro doesn't scratch the child.The quality of the original pillow pets is great. This is a very popular toy, so there are many imitators - this is not the original pillow pet, this is a "My Pillow Pet", however my daughter has an original pillow pet and this one has actually held up better! The fur is very soft.My son got this one for Christmas last year (he was 5) its still a favorite and still in great condition despite daily play.The extra bonus on these is how great they are for traveling! We always take a pillow pet with us when we travel. The kids can use them to sleep on in the car or on the plane and they serve a dual purpose of having a stuffed animal and a pillow.They now make a miniature companion to this one that my kids have been asking for for Christmas, a baby penguin pillow pet. My sister has the unicorn one and I ended up nabbing him for a while before I bought my own. I thought the penguin was the cutest one of the bunch, so I went with him. :DI've named him Pippin, courtesy of my best friend! I have to admit that even though I'm 23, I still find these guys to be the cutest things ever. I don't think you can put an age on having one of them, because they're just so darn adorable. You won't regret it! <3 5soft soft softi wanted it, so bought it for my 3 year old daughter. got a great price on amazon $17 - it is the original not a rip off as some of the reviews state. it comes in a tight fitting box - you can have it flat, or with vecro you can make it stand (as picture) - i like the fact the velcro is covered by a piece of fabric to stop everything attaching to it - nice touch. my daughter uses it at night to lean against when she reads - i use it to lean against when i read to her. it kept her cozy and warm in winter when she cuddled it in bed. we also have the lamb for her sister. she throws herself on hers - she's only 1, so doesn't sleep with it as it's not recommended for under 3's - but she loves lying on top of it and cuddling it.i can't imagine anyone, any age not loving this. 5Adorable!So adorable. And arrived in literally 24-48 hours. My 5 lb chihuahua LOVES it! So soft and perfect for her to play with and sleep on. 5Nice pillow but received wrong item got plush pet. Diff color and feel. Total false advertisement, I alreadyhave one of these.. mine looks just like the picture. Called a pillow pet as advertised, but what I received today is a plush pillow, plush pet. No tag of pillow pet sewn in foot, just a sm shirt looking tag that says made in China and a rip off tag that says plush pillow pets... The one I received is smaller and different colors and not the same as advertised. Shouldn't have paid for the difference in brand. However the one I received is very soft so I'll prob keep it. But feel I need a refund on brand diff. Like paying for a doony purse and getting a generic.. but would like to add that it is a very soft nice pillow lil flatter too...today to add on to my review6-23-16 the cheap Chinese not a "my pillow pet" a plush pillow ripped open already..it's for me a adult that isn't rough..I just use it as a pillow on couch.my real pillow etc r ten yrs plus and no rips etc...washed also buy this for a decoration only.. 3My 2 year old's favorite!!We got this about a year ago for our daughter's first birthday (also got her half-sister a panda pillow pet) & let me tell you - she can't sleep without it. She named it Buddy & it's her favorite thing of all time. I'm eyeing an owl one for March of 2016 for my second daughter's 1st birthday (waiting for it to come back as it is sold out.) Buddy has gone through a lot of washes (especially right before potty training began) & it's still soft & is very durable. I appreciate previous customer feedback to educate me on what to look for when buying an authentic "My Pillow Pet" item. This Penguin has the "My Pillow Pet" paper tag along with the cloth tag on the corner of the pillow. It is so soft and adorable, I even tugged on the fur to see if any came out as a previous customer review said it fell out and not one bit of hair came out. Do not hesitate buying from this vendor as they are supplying the genuine article. I also purchased the Dragon "My Pillow Pet" from this vendor and can verify its authenticity, as well. The dragon is also super cute!! 5Great for toddlers to teenagersThis penguin pet is the perfect cuddle buddy for anyone! Great for toddlers to teenagers. They are so cozy and soft with the perfect amount of stuffing. A cute stuffed animal and pillow combination. Also, if they get a bit dirty, you can easily wash them by hand with a bit of laundry detergent and then let them air dry and they will be good as new! 5
