Customer Reviews

Phenomenal Educational Toy!This greatly helped with my child's understanding of letters. There are so many features and games in this small toy, and it is definitely one of my toddler's favorites. She started playing with this when she was 18 months, and by age 2 she really mastered the letters and games. I like also how it even has lots of music songs, lights, and the clock as well. 5The one I received had the alphabet in the wrong order and letter sounds did not match the pressed letter.Worst product for children I ever bought. The alphabet was in the wrong order with the G and F mixed up and further when a child presses the G is says "F" and when a child presses F it says "G". Maybe they aren't all like the one I got, but be careful and check before you give it as a gift and I wouldn't recommending sending one to say your grandchild, in case it has this dreadful error. The packaging is very challenging, so repackaging it to return it is nearly impossible. 1Only pet peeve: Power button placementWe like this toy, except for the power button. There is no standard On/Off switch on the back of the toy. Instead the power is controlled by a button on the front which looks similar to the other toy buttons. My daughter turns it on and off regularly whether she means to or not and it can get inadvertently turned on when it's jammed into the toy box with other toys. Seems like a pretty basic issue, not sure why they made it this way. 3Didn't last longmy Daughter used it a handful of times and it just stopped working. Changed the batteries thinking that may have been the problem, nope just stopped working totally. 1Honest review from a toddler momI bought this toy for my almost 4-year-old for Christmas as something educational to mix up the loud crazy toys. He LOVED it! There s so many different programs that the kids ca choose from, he doesn t get sick of it like he does with other times. Some of the programs include letter recognition and sounds, word/picture recognition, intro to time telling, counting and number recognition, etc. it s very bright and colorful and has a lot of different music. My favorite part of it is that it is good for both kids who are just learning their alphabet/numbers and those who are a bit more advanced. I sense this toy will be around for a while. It is durable and stands up to typical kid behavior too! It was a LIFESAVER on our most recent road trip and provided a great educational alternative to the DVD player! Super glad we purchased it. 5this apple is my son's favorite toy. This is our 11th oneSo, this apple is my son's favorite toy. This is our 11th one. They never last. The longest has been 4 months and the shortest has been 2 weeks. Our current one we bought in the first week of April. It's May 14th, and just broke. It's very frustrating that this product is so poorly made it can't stand up to the use of a child. Why do we keep buying them? My son is 4 and is very developmentally delayed and mostly non-verbal. This is his absolute favorite toy, he loves the lights and the music and how easy it is to carry around. So, great for kids, but as a parent, it sucks. 1Love thisThis learning toy is erfect and we love it. Using it as a head start tool for 6 month old who loves her alphabet. Update - at 10 months she's growing into it and liking it even more. She loves the clock worm guy that can be moved to set time. She also really loves the power button. Maybe because it stands out. I think it'd be nice if they hid the power button as to not look like an exciting feature. I'm also taking stars away because although this is going to be a great learning tool and seems fun with flashing lights/songs, it does not have a simple alphabet feature. You can not just have it play the alphabet song (since she was 2 weeks old she's loved the alphabet song and especially enjoys it now), it also does not have a feature to play very simply A,B,C... if you press a letter on any setting (lots of options even Spanish) it talks to you and teaches you about the letter. Example pressing A it says A is for Ant. Or pressing B it says B comes before C. But it doesn't have a simple setting option to just say B when you press B or to simply sing the alphabet which were the two reasons we bought this item. 4Wish It Didn't Have Random MusicGreat learning tool, but why do most toys have to come with a music feature? Especially songs that are't alphabet/number related. My daughter loved playing with the letters and numbers on this until she found the music. Now forget that. She wants nothing to do with that portion and she only uses it as a music box. I need her to recognize her letters and numbers, and this would have been perfect. 3Good Riddance Chatty Cathy. We bought this a year ago- In that time span, I have it has been played with twice for about ten to fifteen minutes. I also changed the batteries twice! I have turned it on about 15 times tops since we got it. My toddler was only interested in turning the apple OFF, most likely because It talks too much and whatever they were supposed to grasp gets lost in the endless sentences this thing speaks. Last week, I turned it on and the power button was the only button that was working. I would say this toy is a very expensive battery guzzling chatty cathy. Good Riddance. 2The Special Needs Child Loves This Toy!I am a teacher who teaches severely disabled young children. There has been VTech versions of this toy for years. I have bought every version. When they're not available new, I have bought used ones. It's so easy for a child to use. I put in on the music setting and I place the child's hands on the buttons. Any slight movement of the child's hands starts the music playing and the button lights going on and off. It stops when song is over. When child moves again, a song starts. A different song for each button. There are games that can be played with adult assistance. A lot of my students parents have bought this toy for their child. They are very happy to find a toy their child can use and enjoy. 5
